About QuantityBench

QuantityBench is a small, focused set of construction calculators: gravel, fencing, and roof pitch. There's no account to create, no app to install, and no email required — enter your numbers and get an answer.

The site started as a deliberately small project: three calculators, built well, to see whether people searching for these specific answers ("how much gravel do I need," "how many fence posts for 100 feet," "what angle is a 4/12 roof") find the results useful. If they do, more calculators get added using the same approach. If not, the site stays small rather than growing into something half-finished.

Every calculator shows its formula and its assumptions in plain language next to the result — see the Methodology page for where the reference numbers (material densities, waste allowances, concrete-per-post rules) come from. These are estimation tools for planning a project, not a substitute for a contractor's measurement or an engineer's sign-off on anything structural.
